Revenge/punishment close pass by Prado 1IVH422 into roundabout in 70 limit

This is a 70km/h part of my regular journey south along the picturesque West cost, used by many cyclists. I cycle with a rear radar and mirrors, so am aware of the traffic around me and try to be proactive in managing risks.

Unfortunately it is plagued by cycle lanes that end at the most dangerous points, tight corners, and aggressive/fast driving by large 4WDs and Utes. The coastal path alternatives are too busy in the morning and evening to use safely when commuting.

Toyota Prado 1IVH422 was previously annoyed by the inconvenience of having to drive to the right of the lane to pass a pair of bike cycling two abreast, south on Whitfords Ave.

So the Pardo driver made sure he took out his frustration on the next cyclist, by close passing me in the tight sweepers leading into the roundabout with Flinders Ave.

Next time I will take more of the lane (to protect against passes and left turns across the nose). I just didn't imagine anyone would pass there at speed with me clearly in the lane, but was obviously wrong.

I have reported to the WA Police, but all my previous experiences, however clear the evidence or dangerous the behaviour, are that they send a written warning and close the case :-(.
